I'm sorry for your loss.

Can I ask, how was your dog stolen?

I do beileive that is up to you if you get another dog then you should microchip it incase it is stolen you have a better chance of recovering it. Also make sure you have a collar with ID tags on it, even if it is stolen and the person who stole it removes the collar they cannot remove the microchip, But if you think someone is trying to tell you dogs are not for you maybe you should try a cat.

What did the first one die from?
Was the second one stolen because he was left outside unattended or something like that?
There is no sign as to whether or not you should get another one, just being able to acknowledge whether or not you can provide the proper time, money, space, care, energy, food, shelter, water, and love for a dog.

sad ur dog died , but stolen??????????? how could someone steal a dog? chance it ran away?? and why arent u out there looking for it? if ur a dog lover u wouldnt give up till u found it or the person that stole it??? if that was my dog i wouldnt sleep untill i did and i would put posters every were around the neighbour hood? and no i dont think you should get another one find the one that got stolen . sad if u dont , otherwise id give it a break for a while until u know youll never let it go, and if ur a dog lover you wouldnt want one straight after one died any way i love dogs to deth and when my dog died i didnt get another one for atleast 8 months, but yeah that is one big sign from god t not get anymore dogs for a while, and a sign from me saying your not a dog lover cause you wouldnt give up till you found it....even go to the police thats just like ur ffamily member getting kid napped even if u only had the dog for 2 months .......poor dog , dont give up on it, no matter how long it takes

No, don't get another dog just yet.
First read some books about dog ownership, your responsibilities as well as the fun.

Then make sure you have the money and resources to take good care of a dog.
Think it over, dogs are living beings, they deserve a lifetime of commitment.

Why dont u volenteer for your local shelter and become a foster parent and develop good quality skills needed in careing for a dog. The shelter pays for all of your expenses including food, vet care ect.
