Yes...all major events in history have been the result of the efforts of one or a few dedicated or fanatical people.

The effect of an individual can be for good or ill and is not often what the individual intended. Every purposeful act has unintended consequences which are often much more important than the intended consequences.

Yes, I do. Two opposite examples: Hitler and JFK. Do some research on the Cuban Missile Crisis and you'll see that it's possible that JFK actually saved the world. One person can influence history for good or for bad. All of us can influence our corner of history. Had we not been born, who knows what the world would have been like? I guarantee that you, too, will make a difference, although you may never realize what it was.

Yes. And probably the best example of that would be a little political leader many people have heard of. He rose to power in the early 1930's after he ascended to the highest seat of political power in his country, just after his predecessor had been removed via a vote of "no confidence". He was the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party, or the Nazi Party, and his name was Adolf Hitler.

Whether I believe it or not, it's happened and I can't deny reality.

Note: I do believe that one person alone cannot make a difference, however the actions of one person can influence others to make a difference. As someone said, ripple effect.
