because thats the number one reason why there is religion. if u can make somebody believe in the same religion like u do, u kinda "own" him, u know. u can say what that other person is allowed and not allowed to do. u are smarter and more powerful, and thats it. because then u "feel" like a god, although ure still a human being, but the feelings great, isnt it???

own journey is an element of a sequence of evidences for the guy believer. And that's good and proper, and that i'm effective you does not deny them that. Your pal who had a inventive and prescient became moved sufficiently in his spirit to be confident that he ought to save on with Christ. we can't understand what led to that inventive and prescient (as he became not even in a church - wow!*) or what else became happening at a non secular point. All we are able to declare is that he became confident, sufficiently so as that he nonetheless remains confident now. In analyzing his new faith, he has in all danger found out that Jesus taught that he's the only thank you to God, and of direction he believes this and acts subsequently. it rather is logical, good? so a approaches, so good? Now the crux of your "project" - human beings in say India supposedly have an identical journey (perhaps seeing an 8 armed lady) and throw themselves tirelessly into the Hindu life. ought to that provide even a moments pause on your pal? i don't see why. he's discovered his reality, and it works for Him. it rather is not his project or certainly his interest to cajole the Hindu guy his way is powerful, however the Hindu is faulty. He can tell the Hindu he's faulty, yet then it rather is as much as him to decide on. Does it provide you a project? in all danger, through fact you do not understand which thank you to leap now. so which you purely step out of the "interest". yet what you're doing is projecting your confusion onto people who're not puzzled. and you're "crying out" for them to instruct stuff to you which you purely can't understand. you understand what? i'm going to tell you a secret (do exactly not unfold it around) you are able to't understand God. There, you have finally discovered the reality. God is God - you at the instant are not and neither am I. you won't be able to rationalise God. purely a fool might think of that he could desire to. * sarcasm btw

A lot of folks these days think religious beliefs are like some sort of trip to the bathroom... something that has to be hidden away lest the very sight of a set of rosary beads or a Sikh turban will scare children and small animals.

For these folks, I have a message: I have no intention of being a closet Catholic. I am who I am, and if you happen to see some sign of the fact that I am religious, well, tough. I am not doing it to impress you, or seek your approval, because quite frankly, it isn't about you - it is about me.

I am who I am. And I reserve the right to remain that way, for as long as the constitution protects that.

I'm here, and I'm a papist, fish eating, bead rattler. Get used to it.

In answer to the 1st question.

Because we are commanded to spread the Gospel, and we will, regardless of the consequences.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

In answer to the 2nd question.
We do not seek others approval, their approval, or not, means nothing, it is their choice.

I've always wondered that myself.Religious belief is a very personal thing but many cannot keep their belief to themselves.Perhaps one day they will realise that if they do the imagined persecution they have will disappear

i keep mine fairly personal. most people in my town assume i'm christian, when really i'm pagan and have been for many many years. i believe religion is a private matter, no matter what your religion is. this is an open forum for asking and answering questions about religion so i don't keep my beliefs private here, although many people in here assume i'm atheist.

For some, they feel the need to recruit others, the safety in numbers approach to religion. For others, like myself, it is an attempt to clear up misconceptions about what it is we actually believe.

Why can't you keep your personal evolution beliefs personal...why must you force YOUR philosophy on others?

We are commanded by Christ :

"Preach the gospel to every creature...He that believes (the gospel) and is baptized SHALL BE SAVED; he that believes not SHALL BE DAMNED ". - Jesus

Should we disobey Him just to please you?
