I am 15 and will be going on to 16 in two months and all my friends are telling me you need to stop getting your perms done at home. I'm not going to lie my mom doesn't really "hok me up" when it comes to hair so....

15 or 16 is a good age to start going to a hair dresser..i was around 8 or 9...Tell your mom That you enjoy her doing your hair, but you think its time for a change..she'll understand.your getting older, you need better...Have fun :)

Probably like a year old, I got a perm done when I was 10. I started getting my hair coloured when I was 13.

I was raised by my daddy and his parents after my mother died and my grandmother started taking me to a hairdresser when I was about 4 years old. I had curly red hair and still she had it permed and I was a fuzz ball. I finally went ON MY OWN when I was 13 years old and I stopped all that frizz!!! Of course she didn't like my choice of cuts but here I am....66 years old and I still have my hair the way I like it...short, layered and natural. (and it's still red...keep looking for gray but it's not here yet.)

The age I started going to the hair dresser was 7 or 8, but it doesn't matter what age you are. So ask your mom if u can go and then go

I started going to the beauty shop when i was about 12 but i don't go all the time just when i want to (not often). I do my own perms at home and they come out perfectly fine. You might want to be careful if you try to do it yourself but that might help if you don't want your mom to do them anymore.

You should go when you are 16 because then you will be ready for it! Your hair will be easier to manage because you have easier hair to work with when you are older!
