It's very important, there are many references of people bathing in the Bible. They had to be clean to enter God's temple. They had laws about touching dead people, dead animals, etc.
Christians are not under the Law and its cleansing requirements, even though such Law and its customs were still in force in the days when Jesus was on earth. (Joh 11:55) The Law had “a shadow of the good things to come”; ‘the reality belongs to Christ.’ (Heb 10:1; Col 2:17)
Christians must, therefore, maintain a high standard of physical, moral, and spiritual cleanness, guarding against “every defilement of flesh and spirit.” (2Co 7:1)

Normal body and environment cleanliness is important to ones well-being. The key to this is what is normal? I know a woman who thinks it is fine to bathe once a week. (yuk). I would say that at least every other day at least for showering or bathing and every day and maybe 2x when it is extremely hot. Your dishes should be done daily along with cleaning up after daily activity in your home and then a good cleaning at least 2x a month for the whole house. Sheets should be changed weekly and laundry be done in a timely manor so you do not have to use dirty items for clean ones.

I'd say it's very important but that's kinda only modern Christians and it only really has to do with modern knowledge rather than religion.

As you may know, most people, even Christians, as recently as a mere 150 years ago believed that washing actually damaged your skin and therefore only washed a few times a year and covered themselves in the scent of flowers, etc, at all other times.

My mother used to say "cleanliness is next to godliness." I cannot say how important it is to others, but cleanliness is very important to me. Not only personal hygeine, but also my house has to be very clean too.

Very important....we must be clean...spiritually, morally, physically, and mentally(as in not dwelling on disgusting things...such as immorality). True Christians represent Jehovah God...and he is the Most Supreme, the Almighty God, and our Grand Creator. It is important that we give Him our best and let others know to who we represent.

Jesus explained it, when the Pharisees complained of their not washing hands "that it is not what goes into or on a man that defiles the man, but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles the man." You can read it in Matthew 15:18-20
"but those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defiles not a man."

If you are talking about personal hygeine, a Christian is no different than the average Joe.

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. We are stewards of God's property, as He owns it all, so it is very important.
