Many answers are that this is all in a person's mind. . .being transsexual. . . .that there are no mistakes made. Although we are all aware that there are birth deformaties and what about intersex anatomies;
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia, in which overproduction of hormones in the adrenal gland causes masculinization of the genitals in female infants
• 5-alpha-reductase deficiency, in which low levels of an enzyme, 5-alpha-reductase, cause incomplete masculinization of the genitals in male infants
• Partial androgen insensitivity, in which cells do not respond normally to testosterone and related hormones, causing incomplete masculinization of the genitals in male infants
• Penile agenesis, in which male infants are born without a penis
• Complete androgen insensitivity, in which cells do not respond at all to testosterone and related hormones, causing female-appearing genitals in infants with male chromosomes
• Klinefelter syndrome, in which male infants are born with an extra X (female) chromosome, which typically causes incomplete masculinization and other anomalies
• Turner syndrome, in which female infants are born with one, rather than two, X (female) chromosomes, causing developmental anomalies
• Vaginal agenesis, in which female infants are born without a vagina

Sparkles9, these types of birth conditions are well known, although not exactly 'common'.

Only an ignorant person would consider transexual-ism to be a figment of someone's imagination!

People should feel able to live the lives they want, without interference from others, and to get support and care if they find the going tough.

It's what we'd all want for ourselves and should be willing to offer to others.

Best wishes :-)

Everything you've listed here is one of a group of congenital conditions collectively know as 'intersex' conditions. They're all physical intersex conditions; transsexualism is also an intersex condition, but unlike most of those listed, it's not visible or measurable until after death, which makes diagnosis much more difficult.
Transsexualism is a neurological intersex condition; a small area in the hypothalamus develops in a way that doesn't match the physical body. Like all the conditions you've listed, it's NOT a choice; the only choice is how and when to treat it.

["HEVN BD"; transsexualism isn't 'listed in scripture' at all; it's not a 'perversion' or 'an abominable lifestyle'. There IS hope for transsexual people; it's called HBIGDA triadic treatment, and it's over 98% successful.]

A Christian should take an intersex person as the sex they ultimately claim as their own. The imposition of surgery on intersex children was an abomination in and of itself.

I would feel the same way about a true gender dysphoric person as well, preop or postop.

All these unfortunate deformities that you spoke of are horrific, but they are not listed in Scripture as perversion or an abominable lifestyle. All sin is wrong in the eyes of God, but refusing to change it by leaning on Him and just throwing up your hands and saying, "I am what I am" is foolish and deadly. I believe that there is hope for people that live this lifestyle and that they can change IF they truly want to.

True. And I may be born to be an alcoholic, caused by some gene efficiency. But I still choose to have that first drink, or to continue to drink. It starts with choices. This is a decision, involving the mind.

You weren't supposed to think about it so deeply. These people get by skimming the surface of issues.

You are using science to disprove a faith based belief.

That doesn't work on them.

But I agree with you.
