It will probably depend on what the school has for a pay rate. When I worked on campus, I made $6/hr. This was when min. wage was at 5.15. You should make minimum wage or better. What you make in a day will depend on how much you want to work.

You will be paid the minimum wage of your state, and a little more if you are lucky/experienced.

If you are on work scholarship, they will often limit your hours to 15 per week. This is the version where the school pays you, and the money goes straight to your tuition.

If you are on work study, you will be able to get more hours, because the limit varies. This is the version where the government pays you, and the money goes straight to your pocket.

You can sign up for work scholarship at the beginning of the school year/semester. For work study, you have to have checked "Work Study" on the FAFSA application. Even then it is not guaranteed, it is often a first-apply-first-receive sort of thing.

Both are correct. It depends on the school, but at least minimum wage.
