go to hte Maury show he does DNA test for free and you will find out if he is the father if he is legally the father(signed the birth cert.) then he already has rights and needs to go to the courts asap treu he will have to pay child support but he does have rights as a father and the judge might just decide he is better off with the father if the mother has a bad record or is on drugs or if she is constantly leaveing the child with other people its all up to the court you can find out her record through public record but remember she can bring out his skeletons also

If he has been searching for them, it's a sign that he wants to be involved. With the parents having never been married, it gets into a sticky legal situation, because he doesn't have any legal rights to the child unless he can prove that he is the father, which means a DNA test. If he can prove that the child is his, then he can legally contest his rights for custody. I will warn you though, it can be an uphill battle for a father who was not married to the mother to get any type of rights.

There are several ways he can try to see his daughter, first thing I would advise is that he seek some legal advise, there are organizations that will help him if he cannot afford a lawyer, they will help him find his daughter and will help him to set up a court date with family court to get visitation rights. Once those are in place he can enforce his visitation and she will have no option but to comply. This is something he must do with the proper channels. So legal advise is his first step hope this helps.

He will need to get a paternity test to see if he is the father. Then he can petition the court for his rights. However if it proves he is the father then he can be charged for child support from the time the kid was born.

Is he paying child support? If not he is a dead beat dad. If he had gone to court to establish paternity and paid support, it would be better for him. If he wants to pay support hire an attorney go to court get DNA testing done and pay support and then he has every right to see his child, just be aware he will have to pay child support that he is behind also.
