I Corinthians tells us of the importance of love and gives its attributes. However, John 3:16 demonstrates love. "For God so loved the world that He GAVE his one and only son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Love is not a feeling, it is an action. When I say I love my husband, I am saying that I commit my energy to fulfill his needs. I love him by doing laundry, by cooking, by grocery shopping, by trying to put his needs before my own. Incidentally, he puts my needs before his, so we are both taken care of pretty well. When I say I love my children, I love them by caring for all their needs, by disciplining them, by setting parameters for them so they can become the adults the bible says they should be. It doesn't feel good to discipline, but it does still demonstrate love. Anyone who tells you love is a feeling has a very naive view of love.

Well it depends on who you think your in love with. Take my parents for example, they've been together for over 2 years and as long as I've been alive I have never seen them yell at each other or fight. Love is about you caring for that one true love of yours. When you can trust each other no matter where you are. Of course, you can think your in love and be crushed several times.... But ever since I found my girl I know now that there is someone for everyone, you just have to look. (Oh and my advice don't be an *** hole... people don't like it.)

It's about learning and growing. It's about being happy to be with someone who completes you. Not someone who you think will make you happy. I think a of people confuse love because they think they have to have that one person to make them happy. You have to be happy by yourself, for yourself before you can find true love. It's about being happy to hear his/her voice, being able to look forward together not looking at each other. I know a lot of those sound cliche, but it's the truth.
Love is about giving your heart away but keeping your self respect and your integrity intact.

Love is about caring for someone more than you care for yourself, and putting them before yourself.

It's something you just know when you find it.

It's something you feel.

When you have the real thing, words don't do it justice.

It just is, and when you've got it, enjoy it.
