They think they did. My friend who went there as an educator said that there was a huge mural in the hallway of the elementary school depicting Chinese Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The children are taught that the Chinese were the first people and all other people on earth came from them. The children are taught songs about it and such.

No. Adam and Eve where the first two created. After them, God created all the others. Adam and Eve had a lot of children, but not enough to populate the entire planet.

Yes, just like the rest of us, the Chinese are descendants of Adam and Eve. After the Tower of Babel, God scattered Noah's children throughout the world. He gave them different languages.

A common error of Bible readers is to assume that Adam and Eve were the first humans made by our God here. They were not the first.
The first humans were created with personality and soul potentials (and also were physically evolved) about one million years ago. It was about 963,000 years later that the then many hundreds of millions of humans worldwide had just about met their physical and mental and moral limits of progression, as mandated by our loving Father God: "Be you perfect, even as I AM perfect."
So, about 37,000 years ago, Adam and Eve were sent down to this planet by high agents of God to biologically uplift all human races to higher physical, mental, moral and spiritual potentials. Despite two major defaults, (of a few super-human celestials, no real "fall of man") we humans here are still slowly progressing as God wills.
All humans of all races are equal in spirit potential before God. Race means less each year as we blend and progress as God so wills.
Our good Master Jesus Christ Michael has said: "I will make of one race (one blood) all of the peoples in the nations." This race blending into one race is now happening quite fast; one planetary language of English even much faster, one religion later.
