I am a hillbilly who does have a computer and Jr. is totally awesome. Have you ever heard him whine like Gordon and Stewart do?????NOPE
Some people have the stupid idea that he is only popular because of his Dad and that couldnt be farther from the truth. He is becoming his own man and a dang good one at that.

What polls are you talking about. He's been voted most popular driver for years now. If you are referring to the Answers section here on Yahoo then the answer to that is simple. They are Gordon and Johnson fans that try and make Jr look bad with all of their negative remarks. In the real world (away from here) Jr is the number 1 liked driver by far. His sale are the most by far. His sales in Nascar account for around 30% of the total sales of items. The rest of the 50 or so drivers all share the rest of the 70%. He is rated 6 I believe in most popular sports persons of all sports including basketball baseball and any other sport. Rick Hendrick probably the most sccessful car owner in Nascar was pacing the floors trying to figure out how to get him. Jeff Gordon himself told Hendrick he thought it was a great move to get Jr. It was goot for the sport. I know it's going to be good for their pocket books too. So don't let a few pea brained nobody's come on here and make you feel like Dale Jr is disliked. He is very well liked. Buddy you are in the majority if you ar a Jr fan. They are the minority.

Being the most popular driver does not make you the best driver. Junior, by far, is not even close to being the best driver in Nascar. Stating that Junior is the best driver EVER is a very uneducated statement. Just look at his stats and that will prove it. He is absolutely overrated as a driver, and among those drivers you listed..every one of them is a better racer than Junior. More popular, no, better, yes! Like I've said many times before, the only reason he is as popular as he is is because of his last name and because of his current car sponsor. He definitely has not done anything on track to merit his fame. You may say, "he has to be great, he did win Daytona, remember?" I say, well, yes he did, but so has Derrick Cope!!

how can you put any of those other drivers in the same sentence as dale earnhart sr.
there are only a few drivers that rate being mentioned with sr. and it isn't any of them
do you really think that greg biffle denny hamlin or dale earnhart jr. could be considered the best drivers ever
put all there stats together and form one driver and they still dont match up

how many did jimmie johnson and jeff gordon win = 8
looks to me like jimmie and jeff are the best drivers ever and i am a true NASCAR fan

Teresa abandoned him first, and Hendrick was/is a family friend. If Dale Sr was alive Jr wouldn't have jumped ship because things at DEI would not be amiss.
Anyone who no longer calls themselves a Dale Jr fan because of that, never was one anyway.

Apparently you have blinders on or you don't know NA$CAR history. There have been alot more talented drivers. I've been watching NA$CAR since 1968 and I've seen so many better drivers.

i amsorry i have to disargee with you on that one i like jr. and sr. but kasey kahne is my faovrite drivedr!!a lways has always will be and NOTHING will ever change that!!!!
and how would that make me not a true nascar fan becasue denny and greg and jr, and sr. aren't my favorite drivers just because we don't like the same people as you do!! we all are nascar fans if we like jeff burton(mellow like kasey) to tony syewart(speaks his mind)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
