If some Muslims did bad things, Why should Christians hate Muslims?

But Christians said
"hate the sins, not the sinner?"

You are right... hate the sin, love the sinner. I just believe Muslims are deceived.

Why are you pinpointing Christians? I think you should say why do Americans hate Muslims. I'm not certain it is hatred maybe it's more a fear factor. You are right just because a few have done bad things it is not all Muslims. Were all Germans evil? Caucasians? At one point in time some people in every race, religion have done bad things. We can't hold it against each other or there would be complete segregation.

I think it's a 2-way street to be honest. Some christians hate muslims and some muslims hate christians. Who knows why - I'm sure it's different for everyone. Some people can't handle the fact that other people believe different things. And some people are just hypocrites.

I reckon they should either stay away from each other, or else go somewhere private and fight it out among themselves - just leave the rest of us out of it.

As for christianity being historically the more violent religion - I think they're both as bad (and as good) as each other:

"The Arab conquest of Spain and the push of Arab armies as far as the Indus River culminated in an empire that stretched over three continents, a mere hundred years after the Prophet's death."

Sounds fairly violent to me....

Overall, the Jews, Christians, and Muslims more or less believe the same thing. The Jewish religion starts the timeline, going from Adam and Eve's time frame to Jesus' (not including Jesus) time frame. They basically believe that God has promised to send a savior for mankind, but that the savior has not yet been sent. Christians believe that the savior has been sent, in the form of Jesus. They believe He died for our sins, thus saving us. Muslims also believe in Jesus, but as a prophet in a line of prophets that includes Abraham and Moses and so on. They do not believe Him a savior. Muslims do believe that a savior was going to be sent by God, but rather than Jesus they believe the savior was Mohammed. Both Christians and Muslims believe that their respective saviors will eventually come back and finally usher in God's Kingdom. _____________ As far as the hate you sense, it is only from the most vocal ones of both sides. Moderate ones of both religions do not hate each other or Jews, and moderate Jews the same the other way. It is only the radical versions of these religions that hate, and they are unfortunately also the most vocal. Members of all three religions overall could spend some more time learning each others' beliefs. Doesn't mean they have to follow the beliefs of the others, but it would be good for them to learn about those beliefs. It would cut down on a number of misunderstandings and fights between all three religions.

Most Christians I know hate only the sins committed by the radical Islam factions, but they also realize that these people have declared war on all anti-Muslims who don't subscribe to their point of view. As far as the radicals are concerned, a Jihad has been declared and it is their sacred duty to kill anyone who will not convert to Islam. There is no reasoning with these people -- we've already seen several very well-educated upper-class Arabs who are members of radical Muslim sects, and you'd think you could reason with these people, right? Well, the four pilots who flew the planes on 9/11 and the doctors who orchestrated the Glasgow Airport bombing all fit this description. So how do you deal with people like that, when they have already decided it's us or them? Sorry, but my vote is for us. All opposed?

To all the people who think we are decieved, why are we in the spotlight when chinese, jews and others beloieve other faiths as well? Are we decieved because we believe in Noah, Adam, Abraham, Joseph and David, his son Solomon and all the other prophets? I just wonder they are in the bible right? So what do you call them sons of god too? I really don't understand why you make Jesus, the son of god when all those other prophets did and come with the same message. What religion were the other prophets, when they believed in one god and told everyone there was one god. Do you not believe there is one god? How come the Christian king negus turned muslim when he understood the Quran? The reason we believ in the last Prophet Muhammed SAW is because he put all those evidences of the past, and finished what all the other prophets could no and Allah made him special and guided him extremely with outstanding effect. He also gave him the miracles of all miracles, the untouched and glorious Quran. How many times has the bible been changed? the first scroll, old testament, new testament, gospel. Whilst the quran is just the quran. However the the first scroll was the complete word of god sent to Jesus AS, in damascus, in a temple I don't the name of. So, ARE WE DECIEVED?

Alot of the reason for the distrust is ignorance...also as americans we see only the news of the final outcome...the bombings etc. Noone bothers to look DEEPER and see what has been done...in Iraq how many CIVILIANS have been accidently killed by U.S. troops? Or intentionally? Imagine the fear we all felt on 9/11...confused, scared, wondering is there more to come?? now imagine living that for YEARS and daily seeing people die and being occupied by a country that lied to start the war(the numbers i would like to see is how much Mr.Bush has personally profitted from the war)...so ur right how many times should the muslims get bit before they react??? One nations terrorist is anothers freedom fighter...only difference is how it is fed to us through the media. Islam is beautiful but sooooo misunderstood :-(

Christians don't hate muslims, we hate terrorists, there's a big difference there. I'm guessing muslims hate terrorists just as much as we do.

dozens of acts of mindless terrorism, over the last several decades...carried out almost entirely by young muslim men, in the name of allah...

how many times does a person have to be bitten by the same dog before that person wants to be rid of the dog? you don't stop the animal's biting by becoming a dog yourself.

most Christians don't hate muslims...they just want them to stop this madness...they are medieval in their brutality.

i'm sure you have heard of the latest method employed by al-Qaeda to enforce their domination on a family...they invite a family to a dinner (that would be very dangerous to refuse such and invitation) and serve one of their family members, roasted on a spit with an apple in their mouth.

religion of peace?

i think not.
