You've seen the photographs where it looks like a baby or a bride looks like they are glowing. How does that effect get created? Also, do you know of any websites that give tips on different cool photography tricks?

umm.. u could do what they all say or u can do what i say.. lol dont use photoshop... cuz duh u already kno how... use umm yea a filter.. u must buy me one of this soft focus filters which they speak!

This effect can be produced by using a soft-focus lens or softening filter and can even be done in photoshop. You can also create a foggy effect by using your breath to "fog" up your lens, the best way to do this is to keep a UV filter in the refrigerator, the cold temperature will allow the fog to remain a bit longer, affix it to the lens and shoot away.

forget the filter. just do it in photoshop. take your picture all nice and perfect then scan it or import it (for digital) into photoshop. then use the 'gaussian blur' filter. use a radius of around 1-3 pixels or whatever suits your taste. it give the photo that soft glow effect and also work wonders on removing blemishes. combine that with a slight saturation adjustment and you'll have your photo!

They have soft touch filters you can use, one trick also is to put a handkerchief over the flash if using, a piece of screen over the lens also does the trick.

Get a set of Cokin Filters... or get a program like Photo Ship and fix it in post.

Lens filters, all different kinds. fog, smoke, also lighting, backlight someone and that gives them a "halo" effect.

Thru a nylon sock or apply Vaseline to the lens.
