Any way you want to eat a banana is the right way for you. Some people peel down from the top on all sides and eat like a candy bar in its wrapper, while others, like me, open the peel from the notch and take the banana out from the side and eat it. It doesn't matter just as long as the fruit is still intact and good enough to eat.

I start at the end where the banana has been hung from, then the black bit is left. It is easier to peel from the top.

That sounds like it'd make it more difficult. I always peel 'em at the stalk. Everybody else I know does it that way, too. But, to each their own. I'm not sure there is a right way.

Well, it doesn't make it WRONG to peel it from the black end, just more difficult.

From the bottom not the stalk end, try watching a gorilla or a monkey doing it and you will see!

makes sense to start at the top where there is a bit to get hold of - why stick your nail in the other end to break the skin?
