Nope...the custodial parent must let the non-custodial parent know, and the non-custodial parent must agree to the move.
If they move without knowledge and/or consent - I believe that falls under "interfering with visitations" (illegal in most states), and also kidnapping.
Get that lawyer....

Hi....
when people are divorced with children, it's always wise to set up a "domicile" for the children in the divorce papers. a domicile names the state, or area which the children must live -- and is used as a protective measure to keep the children in a location close to both parents.
domicile can be changed, of course, if one parent decides to move -- but has to be done through the courts.
a domicile can also be set up after the divorce, which involves an attorney and a court date, as you seem to realize.
your attorney can give you the best advice. all the best!

If its not law it should be her morale obligation to her children to let Dad know where they are.
Unless she is worried for her and/or her childrens saftey.
Ultimately it should be about the kids not her feelings or his what is best for the little ones that all to often get stuck in the middle of all this mess.

No read your divorce decree. He can have you put in jail if you change the childs residence without notification. Think about your child anyway.
