Liberty and justice for all. I've been pledging myself to that ideal since I was in grade school, and it still sounds like a good idea to me. I don't give up easily.
To be a little more specific, I think this Internet, and perhaps even Yahoo Answers rather specifically, is an opportunity to communicate with others that we must not let slip away. The more people of different backgrounds can know about each other, understand our differences and our similarities, the better we can work together to achieve our basic goals.
Compassion is an important key. The whole idea of walking a mile in the other guy's moccasins. Feel what it is to be different, to have different knowledge, skills, interests, but the common humanity we really do have.
