It's so normal, especially at this age. Kids get attached to a certain person then when that person leaves or the kid has to leave they get upset. They don't have a concept that they'll see the person again, and even if they see the person in a day or so, that feels like months to a kid. Sounds like your boyfriend is treats your little brother well and he's probably a lot of fun, hold on to this guy!

First of all, this is learned behaviour. He had to have picked up that kind of talk from somewhere - if not from you or your husband, then likely from daycare. So switch daycares if that is the case. And secondly, you are the parent here! You need to be persistent with your discipline. Giving up on it will only teach the kid that he needs to be a just little more persistent than you in order to get his way. Also, you could try spending some one-on-one time with him each day, since having a new baby in the house may be affecting him and perhaps he is just lashing out for attention.

That is so sweet Kids are a good judge of character and sounds like your little brother loves him just as much as you do. I dont think you have anything to worry about, And maybe he really enjoyed the one on one he had with you and your boyfriend when you baby sat him with out his other brothers around.

He's just getting upset because he doesn't want him to go home. My 4 year old used to do this all the time with my parents from about the age of 20 months. He doesn't do it all the time now but every now & then he will get upset if they have to go but I usually bribe him with something & that works. He will eventually grow out of it.

He obviously loves your boyfriend very much. They only do that with someone they feel very close to. But, keep in mind that they only cry for a few minutes, until something else gets them occupied. So, don't let the crying make you or your boyfriend feel bad. Instead, be proud that your brother feels safe with him.

sounds like your little brother likes your boyfriend and was disappointed when he had to go. I think he is looking up to your boyfriend like a big brother. It is perfectly normal for a 4 year old. =)

Sounds like your baby brother has grown very attached to your boyfriend.
I don't see anything wrong with that.
Is your father very present & active in your younger sibling's life?
And also, does your brother cry when you step out of the house, whether or not your boyfriend is with you?

It's perfectly normal as it could be annoying. I have a four year old daughter and she gets that way when some of my family or friends leave. It'll pass :)
