Islam also says that Jesus (Isa pbuh) will come back in same body and soul (not by rebirth or transfer of soul in any other body).
Isa pbuh was a Prophet of Allah All Mighty, not a son.

Lots of people has such good answers!! Well dude I totally respect you for asking this rather than just make blind statements. First of all, we muslims love Jesus!! We believe that he was a messenger of God. We believe that the Bible has been changed. Muhammad(peace be upon him) was prophecised in the Bible by Jesus when he was speaking. to his apostles. Did he not say that the comforter/helper will come? Also, God has promised to keep the Quran protected from corruption. There are muslims all over the world who can recite the Quran without looking at it, so lets say we burn all the Quran in the world tonight. We can get it back easily.. And furthermore, the Quran talks about many things which has only been discovered scientifically recently. E.g the atom is not the smallest thing in the world. Ocean and river water do not mix. And if you want a prophecy, the Quran prophecised that the pharoh that was chasing Moses will be discovered and be preserved and displayed for all to see. His body is now in the Royal Mummies Chamber of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

oh i just noticed that someone already talked bout the stuff i mentioned..

Hi Mike,
I'm glad you are trying to understand more about our religion. That suggests that you have an open mind.
We believe Jesus wasn't crucified because the Quran tells us so. Think about this: When you read the Quran the words are coming directly from God (Allah). Do you see any phrases like "Muhammad said that God said...." or anything of the sort? How do we know that it's really God who is talking versus some guy that made it up? The Quran is very poetic. It's beautifully and linguistically put together. There are even verses in there that challenge anyone to bring forward another book like it because they won't be able to. Also, the Quran is very logical. There is no contradiction in the Quran whatsoever.
And lastly - the Quran was copied down by a scribe when Muhammad recited the verses to him. The verses were correct because at the end of every year the angel gabriel came to listen to muhammad recite all he had learned and correct him if necessary. Secondly, Allah himself says that the Quran is protected from corruption. Muhammad didn't write the Quran himself from his own thoughts. He couldn't read or write.
So we are dealing with a holy book that truly was not written by men as the Bible is. The words are from Allah himself. Thus there is no author.
I hope you continue with your search. God Bless you.

I am a Muslim.

In Holy Quran it's stated that Jesus Christ wasn't crucified, the one who was crucified was a body that looks like Christ's.

In Holy Quran it's stated that GOD has raised Jesus Christ to him.

By that, it's a fact that Jesus Christ didn't die, he's still alive but not on earth, and we Muslims believe that Jesus Christ will come back to earth before the Judgement day, and will rule the earth for 7 years and then die at the age of 40.

We Muslims believe that Jesus Christ is a prophet, and we respect him as a prophet.

To know the facts of Islam, I advise you to Visit Arabic countries, and learn the Arabic language to be able to read the Holy Quran in Arabic, because the Arabic virgin is the original one.

GOD bless you

Sincerely
Randy

I will start directly if Muhammed peace be upon him wrote the book (Quran) then believe him as GOD itself which is not true as he was just messenger.

I cannot write here but there are many scientific things which are discovered recently that was written in Quran 1400 years ago.

The other visible things are that the book you tell me is intact for 1400 years and no change. It is only Quran because as Almighty ALLAH has promised to keep this one intact till the day of resurrection. In Quran itself there are descriptions of many prophets including Jesus peace be upon him.

I will just stick to your one point that Muhammad peace be upon him has written this book, tell me how many individual writer you know whose book for 1400 years is still popular or known. You may not find a book for 100 years or let say 200 years old whose book this world know about. How it is possible that a book 1400 year old is now available in every city of this world, every city means thousands of cities and it is recited by other billion people in the world.

The other fact the book can be memorised by 7,8 or 9 year child. Even all the computer, libraries book shops take out this Quran out of this world, even then it is in brain in millions of children and people around the world. Go and verify this fact yourself.

Everything gets translated and interpreted. thats the human job. Also, whatever is being said has political and social context. Therefore, it was carefully thought of in order to not to anger the authorities - the sword. Jesus was doing pretty good job at that for a while ( To Ceasar-Ceasar's etc.) However, once he screwed up the punishment didn't wait. Mohammed created his in a more isolated environment, but neveretheless he appealed to the pagan sensibilites of his tribsmen, and if he didn't,...well, then there s that sword again.

PLEASE READ. Here's the thing. Muslims believe in the ORIGINAL Bible and Torah. Because there was so much corruption with the Bible and omittions to the point where God's holy word became a democratic vote of approval (COuncil of Nicaea) something needed to be done. Some early Christians did not believe in the crucifixion (Basilian if I remember correctly).

God sent down the last holy book in the lineage (the Quran). It is to reconfirm His previous message of God's unicity (He is one, He begets not, nor is He begotten and there is none like unto Him). People often miss the whole message of Islam because they're busy trying aimlessly to find a fault.

In the Quran God says.

4:156-159 "That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): 'We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.' But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them."

I need to refer to the Quran to explain my point of view.

According to the Quran, God sent messages to mankind in pieces. Starting from Adam, mankind was informed of God and mankinds duty on earth. There were 124,000 messengers sent to mankind.

The majority of these messages were oral, and the last few were scriptures (the last 4) These were: psalms, torah, the good news(injeel or aka the bible), and the quran. Each being a piece of the message, with the last being the final piece of the message.

Scriptures: actual words of God, were given to the Prophets or messengers so they would be noted down and passed on to the coming generations.

Notice I said: given to. According to the Quran, God did not inspire His messengers: He actually sent them the words with the help of an angel.

In Christianity's case, the Good News was given to Jesus and Jesus was given the responsibility to pass it down.

Now Christians in our current day claim that the Bible was not only inspired but it was written by other people, and not Jesus.

Thus the Muslim understands that the Bible is a different book than the one spoken about in the Quran.

Now Jesus is referred to as being aided by the Word of God in the Quran. What does that mean? It means God created Jesus, not by normal means: by the medium of a man and a woman seed. But from a single womans seed, thus God said BE and Jesus was.

God did not beget Jesus because God does not beget nor is He begotten.

Now on with the story of Jesus. Since God sent messengers to all of mankind, and Jesus was one of them, God knew they would be prosecuted and hated against. However, God does not sit back and watch His messengers be killed so easily. Thus the crucifiction was a dishonor against Jesus, it was an attempt to kill down the love of his followers, and it was perpetrated by the disbelievers. And God did not allow that. The Quran says that Jesus was protected and God says: I took him to Myself.

This is a very mysterious sentence. It has had Muslims believe Jesus has risen to the sky and is still alive. It also has had Muslims think Jesus would be coming back. The Quran does not specifically say Jesus will be coming back. So God knows best. But thats my Islamic point of view.

Hope that helps.

I'll start by saying that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was illiterate as prophecies stated he would be in the Bible. He spoke that which his Lord told him to and not a word more or less. The Qur'an is from Allah, in the words (Arabic words) that Allah intended to reveal his last revelation with. Jesus (peace be upon him) also spoke of Muhammad (peace be upon him). He said that he must now go (ascend up to Allah) or the comforter (Muhammad(pbuh)) would not come. There are actually many prophecies of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in the Torah and Bible.
