I take it your Daughter has picked the AW Rate !!
I went thru the Pensacola program back in 1985... I was actually hoping to AVOID RSS (Rescue Swimmer School) because I grew up near NAS Moffett Field and hoped to go into the P-3 Orion community instead of Helicopters.
But, I could swim too well, and was sent off to RSS on graduation from NACCS. It was TOUGH back then (before training-time-outs). BUT, the helicopter community was rewarding, and I flew in the SH-60B Seahawk for 9 years of my 15 years.
The KEY to RSS is endurance (runs, swims, and flutter-kicks... you graduate in the best shape ever) and motivated tolerance of the exhaustion.
Good luck to your Daughter, and WELCOME ABOARD Shipmate !!

It's a fine choice. Rescue swimmers do a tough job. There's a lot of physical work, but if she is in super-good shape and a top athlete, she can do well there!

I was a SAR swimmer for the Navy my first enlistment many years ago. Went thru the Aircrew school in Pensacola and LOVED it there.
Back then, one of the SAR schools was at North Island, San Diego, (where I went) and LOVED that job too! Where else can you get paid to swim and go surfing for "training".
Make sure she is up to the mental challenges of SAR school before going because it can get intense.
Good Luck....she made a good choice!

Very honorable (yet challenging) choice.
99% of the public forgets these people exist until they're plucked out of a flood or rescued from a capsized boat.
