Its a holding place for non believers where its dark, very hot, and you are tormented day and night. After the judgment all of hell will be thrown into the lake of fire where you never die and there is no escape. You should consider looking into some near death experiences where people got a view of heaven and hell.

Hell is one of those subjects that makes people uncomfortable. We hear stories of hell being a place of fire, demons, and endless torment. Throughout history many authors have written about it, Dante's Inferno for example. Western culture is very familiar with the concept. Even Hollywood has made it the subject of many movies. Whatever the context, whatever the belief, hell is definitely taught in the Bible. But even the doctrine of hell is not without its controversy. Some say it is only the grave with no consciousness. Others say it is a place of correction and punishment that is not eternal. Others say it is an endless agonizing punishment in fire. Whichever it is, hell is the total absence of the favor of God.

Lots of contradicitons from you, first you don't believe in god, then again you say God made hell....?
One thing is certain, hell exists where Lucifer is in charge. It is not too late for you to accept God. You can sample hell on earth by getting lost in a desert for days with no water and no living thing in sight

Please read Luke 16:23...John 3:15...John 3:36 . Why would Hell be not that bad ? There must be a payment for yours sins .That is why people go to hell to pay for their sins forever , some suffering is more severe than others. A sin is a crime against Gods word (law) A sin is ( a bad thought , swearing , lust , murder , lust ,rape ,stealing , disobedience etc...)Through Gods infinite mercy he gave us his Son Jesus .That is why Jesus suffered immensely , shed his innocent blood , and died on the cross as payment for YOUR sins. ONLY if you trust and believe in Jesus as your personal savior and obey him . He's giving you a chance while you are still breathing . Where would you rather be ? In eternal paradise or suffering in hell forever ? Let Jesus pay for it now or YOU pay for it forever .

I don't know, but I can safely say I wouldn't wish it on anyone. We clearly have two different perspectives.

It's not the suffering and torment that bothers me. It's being without God.

When you have a relationship with God as I do, you wouldn't want to give it up for anything. You take hell (actually it's the lake of fire) lightly, but you don't know what you're in for. All indications are that it'll be worse than you could ever imagine.

Life on earth maybe bad and known as 'Hell on earth', to some people. But the real life Hell is so much worse. It has to be!

Hell in the bible is stated to be a very horrible place where all of the worst people on the face of the earth go. It is not said to be hot or firery, but to be the most misserable place possible. To not go there you must take god in for your heart and your mind to do that you must do things for other poeple and not be selfish, although we will at times be selfish or do other wrong things, because we are imperfect, we must look to god for the answer to not go to that horrible place called hell.

GOD did not make hell. It was Satan. God is good all the time. All the time God is good. So He wouldn't do that.

Anyway, hell is like a burning lake of sulfur with its fiery furnace. By the way, PANDAEMONIUM is the capital city of hell. Just research about it on the net. T.Y.

It doesn't seem like a serious answer is what you want, but anyways....Hell is a place eternally separated from God, not necessarily a literal burning fire. There will be anguish, because people will realize they deserve to be there and there is no way out. It will make them hate themselves and God more and more. They'll want to do anything to stop it, but won't be able to.
