One can not blame catholics for their faith as we are all a product of our upbringing I once believed in catholic dogma. When God wants us to see the light we will with his gift of understanding then we follow in Christs footsteps after all a christian is supposed to be setting an example to the world and obeying Gods word not mans. The pope is only a man he is human like everyone else and not perfect . We are all responsible for our actions and way of life Jesus said
Joh 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father.
Some catholics do know the word the church is changing the people are questioning not just following what men say is right God is a righteous judge we can never match that because of our human nature and the devils influence

What do you call your own dad?

The thing is, we only understand God by analogy because of His transcendence - to have a concept of the fatherhood of God, we require examples of earthly fatherhood - it is similar to the principle that to understand God as good, we must have examples of goodness that are visible on this earth or else the concept would have no meaning as it is applied to God.

Here is link explaining it.

The thing is, to interpret Scripture properly, you cannot simply take an isolated verse and interpret it as it would happen to hit your understanding - you have to interpret Scripture in light of the rest of Scripture, since other passages might correct an erroneous interpretation of one if it were simply read in isolation.

For example, "fath alone" is corrected by James who says that faith without works is dead - that is turn is corrected by 1 Cor. 13 that says that works must be done in charity (love in the heart) to be pleasing to God - and that in turn is corrected by other passages of Scripture in case "charity" is confused with something else, in which there is no love in one's heart (such as passages indicating the exhortation to mercy, patience, self-sacrifice, and those sort of things, which are very good indicators that true love is present, and not a phony counterpart, which is so common, even in the Catholic Church today).

Texts out of context are a pretext.
The context of 2 Cor6:16 is the worship of Greco-Roman gods and not statues of angels or saints which I surmise is the SDA tradition out of which you are interperting or misinterpreting these texts. Catholicism teaches adoring anyone or anything other than God is very sinful for a believer in Christ.

Exodus 2518-19 COMMANDS the making and honoring of Angel statues. Since you want to follow the Mosaic Covenant as a Gentile(?) then you should have Golden Angel Statues and incense in your church

what i see is bible cutting-- you are mixing it all up to form some sort of evidence that catholic beliefs are wrong. that's also a grievous sin that might put you in hell if you dont repent. hahahaha. obviously, verse one refers to the catholic priests whom we call father. let me explain this to you oh shortsighted and brainwashed member of your congregation, it is also said in the bible to honor your father and mother. if it's wrong to call anyone here on earth a father, then why even include that word in the commandments of God? obviously, you have missed the whole point. we call priests as fathers as a sign of respect just like you call your ministers pastors. they're the same-- father- pastor. you just took the verse out of context. have a nice day and God bless you

There's no reason not to agree with it... It's not even the question of agreement. That's just how things are. It's a question of believing it or not...

My call... of course I believe i it. This is God's word...

And here's a Bible quote for you -

Matthew 16:18 -

"And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros--a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra--a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]."

Peter - "Cephas", Jesus' Aramaic nickname for Simon Peter - Aramaic for "rock"

Peter - the first bishop of Rome, who was martyred - crucified upside down, by Nero's Rome.

The altar of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome is built over the tomb of Peter.

The Catholic Church. The original one. The one that will last until the end of time, because as it's founder Jesus Christ promised "the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."
