Isn't this also like saying Abraham is a Muslim because Muslim means one who submits to God?
By the same token if I name my dog Allah it would mean my dog is God?
And if all who submit to God are Muslims I guess that makes all of us who believe in God Muslims?
Can we at least admit these word games are to say the least annoying ?

Red Dragon read the bbile we do not follow what men say but what God says...It is Islam that abanndoned God to follow a dead guy perhaps had you believed God rather than followed the teachings of a man you would not have to call his word corrupt.

Sayed perhaps you didnt undestand the question...Simply calling your God Allah does nto make it God anymore than calling a dog Allah does it? Muslimsinsit Allah is /god because the name means God and Abraham was a Muslim because Muslim means one who submits ot God....kind of silly isn't it?

Calmness it is not a matter of disrespect. It is a matter of substance.
Abraham was thousands of years before Muhamamad and was not a Muslim...Allah disagrees with the God that was worshipped before Muhamamd and can not be the same God.

Smartroll.... I am not debating the meeaing of the word Allah...simply stateing that calling something God does not make it God. Saying Abraham was Muslim because Muslim means submits to God is a word game.

Good friend Muhammad, There are many beings that people worship but they are not the one true God... The God of Abraham and the Allah of Islam are not in agreement an therefore can not be the same entitiy.

Muhammad It is not meant to be insultin. I assure you. It might have been phrased more politically correct but sometimes the truth is to the point.

Muhmmad I considered deleteing this question due to the fact that some will be offended ...It is not my intention to offend but the question and my observations are true ... If something is truth and it offends that the offense is not with the questioner. I agree that this question and my observations seem harsh but it is not inteded to be offensive.

Thomas means twin. Therefore I am a twin. Except...I'm not. So obviously, just because your name means something, it doesn't mean you are.

Allah is not a femminin nor a masculine word therefore Allah doesn't has any gender and moreover if we use the word God, people can play mischief with it by adding suffixes to it
such as
god+s
god+ess
etc,
which aren't there in Islam, so u see everything has a reason behind it and its no word game u dumbo,
first know what islam is before starting to blame it

In Arabic, Allah does not mean God.
Al-Ilaah means The God.
If you knew Arabic youd know those are two different words.
Allah is an Arabic word that has no plurals or gender specifications and is the word God uses to name Himself in the Quran.
It is however used by all Arabic speakers to represent the Creator. Thus it is synonymous if not the same with the word: God.
Edit: Its all a matter of language. If you cant show understanding, show some respect.

both muslims and christians in arabic speaking countries refer to God as Allah. there is no word games. if anything it is the media that turns it into a word game where they accuse muslims of commiting crimes in the name of allah. there are many english speaking muslims who also refer to their perceived god as God...

I'm not a muslim, but I know that arab Chrisians use the same word to refer to God. so unless there's a word game I don't know about, it's a language crossover. like me saying God is God

Bismillah ir Rahman ir-Rahim - in the Name of God (Allah) the Beneficent the Merciful-" is as near to the Great Name of God(of Allah) as the iris to the white of the eye.
Ask in order to understand, and do not ask in order to find fault, for surely the ignorant man who wants to learn resembles a man of knowledge, and surely a man of knowledge who wants to be difficult resembles an ignorant man who wants to find fault.
Edit:
'God - there is no god but He, the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting (by whom all subsist). He has sent down upon you the Book with the Truth ... as a guidance unto mankind ...' (Al 'Imran 3: 2-3).
I like your questions, but do you have to insult us if you do not agree with us, i respect you alot, but i am starting to lose this respect for you.
And if We pleased, We would have exalted him thereby; but he inclined to the earth and followed his evil desires. His case, therefore, is like the case of a thirsty dog; if thou drive him away, he hangs out his tongue and if thou leave him, he hangs out his tongue. Such is the case of the people who disbelieve in Our Signs. So relate to them this narrative that they may reflect.

Islam does not have word games. Islam is the most straight forward religion, it does not have all that nonsense that other religions have. I assume you are Christian, how come some say that it is mentioned in the bible that alcohol is not allowed while others say it is. How come many Christians say that sex before marriage is a sin while other say it is okay. Islam is the only religion where something is either allowed or not. It does not have twists & turns in it.
***** By the way, this is also for you mafiagirl. Think about what I said carefully.
