My dad has cancer in his lymph node in the neck. After having a pet scan, the doctors said there were a few hot spots in his lungs which could mean metastatic lung cancer - or it could be scarring from a previous lung infection he had many years ago. Anyway, the actual question is - recently, we discovered a couple of small lumps (approx 5) a few on his back/shoulders and one on the other side of his neck. They look a bit like small boils, except with no head..and they are quite hard, and obviously sore if you push on them. I can't find anywhere on the internet if they could be cancer...can anyone help? Thanks

Yes, they could be cancer. They doctor will need to check them out.

Pls check with your doctor immed. Conduct a FNAC asap on the suspected nodes. In cancer if the lymph nodes get affected you have to be doubly alert and keep checking for any lumps. cancer can spread very fast if the lymph nodes get affected.

Please-take him to the doctor immediately. So many of the "rules" of cancer on the Internet are simply not correct! For example, it may say cancer lumps don't hurt. MINE DID. But I delayed going to the doctor because I believed "the rule".
There are NO rules with cancer. Each person can be different. Go to the doctor immediately.

lumps are usually signs of lyph nodes......i htink it's still best to go see a doc, gd luck
