you can not say that the cross is not worshipped. It's the symbol of the religion and is used in most of the ceremonies!
any church that you go to will be adorned with crosses.

Christianity is a cult by definition.
cult = a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.
Christinaity = Followers of the Messiah
Therefore, it would not be suprising that they worship an idol at all.

Numbers 21:8 God instructions Moses to make the bronze serpent which we learn is a logo of Jesus Christ (John 3:14). that's barely destroyed after that's worshiped (2 Kings 18:4), the making of it became into not a sin. Numbers 8:4, a million Kings 6:18 pictures are carved a million Kings 7:25,29 pictures of lions and bulls are carved to assist the backside of the temple there have been pictures of the cherubim angels in the temple (a million Kings 6:23-31) and God blessed the temple (a million Kings 9:3). Exodus 20:5 we are forbidden to worship pictures or serving them. yet by utilising praying in front of a statue of a saint or a crucifix, we don't pray or worship the image, our ideas are gazed upwards from them in the direction of God.

The cross is a symbol of Christianity, not an object of worship.
Although disrespectful treatment of a cross is looked upon as disrespectful, the cross is not generally considered an object of worship.

Do I think they worship the cross? No.
Do I think that this is the equivalent of their saying that we non-Christians worship this item or that item? YES.
I'm tired of hearing about how I make idols out of everything and worship them. I don't, unless Christians are willing to admit that they worship the Bible, images of Jesus, the Cross, etc. They are just as much in the wrong.
But I would be happier if we all just gave up these 'idol worship' accusations...

I don't worship the cross. I worship Jesus. I respect and praise the fact that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. But I in no way worship a cross. That would be sin. God is a jealous God and he commands that I worship no one but him.

No............ Never will a True Christian worship Cross neither will he/she wear a cross. It is just a symbol of where Jesus is died for you.
But keeping a cross, or worshiping a cross, or wearing a cross with the Christianity means is tottally wrong.
so .. please dont conclude with what you see from certain people.

Hello,
The cross is not worshiped by anyone. It is a "'reminder' to Christians that Christ had died for their sins and that one suffered long horribly by that form of execution. So awful it was that only rebellious barbarians and brigands and slaves recieved it. It was totally against the law for a Roman citizen, no matter how bad to be put to death by cruxcifiction.
Regards,
Michael Kelly

i am christian and i dont worship the cross. its just a visualization of how Jesus died, not an idolistic object although some christians might worship it and have the wrong idea of what it represents.
