i want to apply for a videoezy membership, but the only form of payment is online- by entering your credit card number.
so i sent them an email asking if there was an alternative, and here's what they say:

Thank you for your interest in VideoEzy Online.

We regret to inform that the only form of payment is via credit card. This measure is regulated by the MDA for age verification purposes. However, you can rest assure that your credit card information is kept safe and confidential as it will be handled by a renowned payment service provider called VeriSign, which is owned by Paypal. We hope these information would quell your worries.

We hope to serve you in the near future.

Yours sincerely,
VideoEzy Online Customer Service

so... is it safe do you think?

I would certainly think so. Just make sure that the little gold padlock shows everytime you use it.

I wouldnt. Many places such as blockbuster, and other movie and places will start to charge more than you asked to pay for it. I work at a credit card company so I have seen many people ask why their pymnts on their cards were high. when they found out that blockbuster, etc. was taking out over more than 1/2 of what they said they would do they put a cancel to it. Dont give out your CC # unless it is a SECURED acct. then call customer service monthly or check your statments to see if their was additional charges put on that could put you over your credit limit
