In referance to what?
"Why do people get stupid sometimes?"
Is that from your own observation of what they seem to be doing?
We are all doing stupid things occasionaly, because we live within the Human Condition and that alone presupposes that ignorance is always present and accounted for. What I'm hearing in what you ask is that you have no tolerance for stupidity, generally speaking that means that you think that you're smarter than they are.
But - Is that the actual fact?
Take a real close look at yourself, are there occasions where you've been stupid, or done stupid things yourself?
Life is a mirror, it can only reflect what is hidden inside of you, it reflects what you believe in, what you think and feel and inside of that you get to make choices and decisions based on these observations and perspectives.
What I'm saying is don't get caught up in the reflection, and take it personally or you get trapped inside of the unreality of the illusion being presented to you from the reflection, or "The Mirror Of Life" as I call it.
