if catholics have to pray through mary, then catholics VOIDING the work done on the cross which brings us directly to GOD..
"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
1 Thessalonians 5:9 "For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ
For those who put their faith in Jesus: He gave them the right to be the children of God... God Himself was the one who made them His children (John 1:12-13).
Romans 8:34 ... It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Jesus makes intercession for us. NOT MARY! please obey the Word of God ok?

Martin,
the billions of catholics are showing me that "nonsense" you had indicated..
you all don have to, but ALL CATHOLICS DO IT. why mary? mary was just a woman! mary was just a humble woman! but CATHOLICS exalt her to the status of divinity! Queen of heaven, Mother of God, Holy Mother, what else????Queen of queens ??? or Queen Goddess???

To Monkigun...
The Nicene Creed
WE BELIEVE in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
I see no mention of intercession by saints???

It is in the Nicene Creed that we believe in the intercession of Saints. It is not unusual for non-Catholics to ask for prayers from a congregation or a friend for Divine help with an illness or such. Why is it so strange then to ask Mary and the saints to pray for us?
She has some good connections and she is , as the angel Gabriel says "Full of Grace , The Lord is with thee"

What better way to be heard than by seeking help from the sacred mother of christ? That is the catholic belief. Mary is not the intercession to God; She is the intercession to Christ.

Jesus also said that the way to come to Him is through His Mother.
Catholics do NOT worship Mary, we worship God. We revere her as the mother of Jesus and pay her tribute to her son through the recitation of the rosary that we were asked to do. In praying the rosary we are giving grace and honour to God.
I do not know where you got the idea that we do that or that we are not obeying the word of God because that is just wrong and unjust!

Chill, man. I am not catholic, but I work for a catholic church, and if you ever got out of your house and looked around you and talked to someone outside of your bible thumping friends, you wouldn't sound so ignorant. Catholics do not worship or pray to Mary except to ask her to pray for them. Haven't you ever asked anyone to pray for you?
