I agree with Star. Do a treasure hunt. For my boyfriends' 29th birthday I created about 7 rhyming clue cards of destinations we frequented. At each spot I left a small gift corresponding to the place, like ice cream gift cards at Coldstone, etc. One of the spots was the movie theater where he had to watch whatever movie was showing at the time he figured out the clue. That gave me a few hours to set up the final destination- a surprise birthday party! He had no idea! He had such a good time and he still has the clue cards as a keepsake of his special day. Maybe the ending destination could be a friends house or a park where hers and your family is waiting. Just be sure to ask the businesses if you can leave gifts because a lot of them won't let you. Other places were really excited about being one of the "clues" after I explained what I was doing!

First of all, let her celebrate her birthday and keep that day as her special day. If you plan to propose, choose a day that means something to the two of you. Don't usurp her special day! There are 364 other days you can propose on. Buy her a birthday gift - an engagement ring is not a gift - it is a symbol of your promise to each other. Then choose another day, possibly the anniversary of the day you met or any other day that might be important to you. Before you ask her, ask her parents for their approval and their blessing. Once you have received that, it will be time to plan how you wish to ask her.

I read about the cutest proposal I have ever seen in an issue of People, actually. The gentleman took his girlfriend into a photobooth and after a first (silly) shot, got down on one knee and proposed. The pictures are priceless, and they will have the memory frozen in time forever for both of them to remember. Sweet and simple - I just loved it.

Does she like outdoorsy things? You could take her hiking and propose at the top. I'd love to be proposed to by a bonfire at my family's cabin (without my family or friends there, though). What about at a pier or boardwalk, if you live near the water? Or during a picnic on the beach or in a park.

here is something realy romantic, get candles, roses, a speacial bottle of wine if there is a special place that you both go to and its seculituded you can set candels all over the place with rose peddles all over or you can do this at your home if you do this at home set the candels from the door way to where youd be standing to propose to her have her blind folded when she walks in, i hope you get the idea and you have a magical night.
