I guess you are in the Sheffield area by your mention of Magna.
Contact the Tourist Information Office - you'll find them in a phone book or a web site.
Alton Towers is closer to Burton on Trent so a bit of drag down there possibly. And expensive, and mostly outdoors - £5 to park your car, £30 plus entry for adults (don't know about kids) plus long queues for rides.

Alton Towers is good for both adults and children. Depends who you want to cater for. Chester zoo is fantastic, Knowlsley Safari Park is equally as good. Blackpools Golden Mile is one not to miss and the night life there will be an experience. Have a good day.
