It is a way of life, and it depends on what you believe in. I put my faith in it because I feel every human should live by certain moral standards otherwise there is nothing but chaos. People should not, steal from one another, or try to con or take advantage of one another, but this is what our society is all about and the problem is only getting worse. I put my faith in God because I long for world peace and God is the only one who can achieve this goal. Humans are to greedy and power hungry to ever achieve it alone. : )

Dear Friend,
The important distinction to make here is that Christians do not put their faith in the Bible, we put our faith in God, and his son Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
2 Peter 1: 20Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit
The Bible is the word of God, his book of history, law, love, purpose and prophecy. We can learn the answers to all of the questions we need anwers to, such as Why are we here? how are we here? and about the very nature of God himself. If you are curious, then why not read the Bible for yourself.
God Bless

Ignorance. Any attempts to treat the Bible as literal are fouled up by the numerous internal contradictions, before the incompatibility with reality comes into play.

To begin with, God gives us a little faith....enough to believe in Jesus' redemptive power. After salvation, faith grows as we learn more about God and His Character and begin to step out in faith, depending on Him. Each experience we have with God strengthens our faith. It is increased each time we trust God. Soon, we have a history with God and His delivering powers, His healing powers, His comforting powers, His peace, His love, His faithfulness, His truth, His guidance, etc. etc. The more one stands on faith, the more it grows. God proves Himself over and over. Faith grows. The Bible is God's instruction book for us and if we follow those instructions, He proves we can count on Him time after time....our faith grows.

In the face of a world devoid of compassion, human decency, dignity, morality, and substance, it is to be expected that those seeking solace would sooner place their faith in an ancient religion of God rather than the insipid hedonistic venom praised by men.

Because they are too scared to live in reality. By believing in the bible it gives them something to blame and for some it gives them a meaning for life.

God does if they have it right. Both the Bible and the one's that wrote it pointed away from themselves and pointed to Jesus as being the Messiah, and God as the one to trust in. It's in there and those who cannot see that do not have His spirit to guide them to understanding.
