Definitely karma. There are many schools of thought on whether or not one should cure them. Physical healing through medical doctors is generally not considering an altering of the karma and seems to have the nod, while psychic healiing (by metaphysical means) leans towards altering/removing the karma. If the karma is removed from the one who created it, it must go somewhere, therefore the karma is transferred to (moves to) the practitioner who removed the disease (karma).
"Physician heal thyself."

I do not see diseases as Karma, not good or bad Karma. It is right to attempt to cure, we should always work toward healing.

God gave us a brain. We've used those developed brains to try & find solutions for problems such as diseases. So, if we know how to cure some diseases should we just let people die from them rather then help them because it's Karma???
I don't think so.

Diseases are a fact of life. Someone may get AIDS from being ovely promiscuous or getting the wrong bag of blood in an operation. You could say that nobody deserves to have a particular affliction or, by Original Sin, that everone deserves even worse.

the world works in mysterious wways. sometimes diseases help you become a better person, so it could be considered good karma. and i dont think its wrong to try to cure them because that is part of what karma works on. if it is easily curable, then its not so bad karma, i think.

They aren't Karma, karma is more like ... you talk badly about someone, someone will talk bad about you, someone hits their head and you laugh.. then you might trip over.
Otherwise if you still think its karma, then maybe you should try and cure it.. by doing nice stuff to people you've hurt. Ans medication of course... but to make someone happy will automctically make you feel better.. even just temporarily

That's a very hindu concept, hence their caste system as well. There is Christianity that says do good to all, even to those who hate you. Hence there is no conflict with curing disease. It is a respect for life.
