He created part of the universe with something. He made Adam from dirt and Eve from Adam's Rib. Other than that, I believe it was just spoken.

God spoke the world into existence. I cannot understand why this is so hard to believe. I find it hard to believe there are some people who believe a huge bang created such complexities as plant matter, DNA, cells, molecules, animals of so many different species, Human beings that have the ability to think, love, talk, etc etc...... That's just ridiculous. Only a loving God could have created anything good. It's evil man who's hearts are so corrupted by self, sin and lust that cannot see this truth.

WELL, KIND OF, If You are A Believer... Although I am Not...
THERE WAS *NOTHING* TO "CREATE"!
Some 13.7 billion years ago, what is known as the Big Bang Singularity existed (not to be confused with black hole singularities). It contained *ALL* the matter/energy in the Universe in a very high mass / close to zero volume point. Thus it was almost infinitely dense and infinitely hot. This *was* the Universe and the Big Bang merely expanded it to its current size... it's still expanding, of course. Remember Einstein's "Equivalency Principle" E=MC2? ... This implies there was initially no true matter as there could be neither atoms nor molecules at this point due to extreme heat.

As the Universe expanded and cooled, at about ~800 K Years atoms started synthesizing to form matter/molecules and much later gravity / curved space acted upon dust and such to begin the formation of planets, stars, galaxies, etc.

[Edit]: Due To Thumbs-Downs and Others Stating that "God Spoke The Universe into Existence"... Please Realise that even religious organizations and sites recognise the status of BB Cosmology as 'FACT'... "After decades of struggle, other scientists came to accept the Big Bang as fact."

Pls Note: Big Bang Does *NOT* Preclude The Existence of God, as a God *could* be the initiator/starter (not MY take).

Hello and God's Word says this in Psalms 33:9 For he spake, and it was [done]; he commanded, and it stood fast.
It also says in Gen.1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, NO at God's command this place was created and it was created out of nothing but His Word and that Word is a capital letter cause in John 1 that Word "WORD" is capital cause that is a proper name, the name of Jesus Christ, God bless. find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org

This question is too deep. There are many people with multiple PhD's that will die thinking about this. The sad fact is that in our lifetime we will never visit anything outside our puny solar system or be able to stop killing ourselves by watching TV and eating fast foods. God has created enough to keep us busy until he is ready.

Yes. Matter has always existed. He took the matter and organized the Earth.
Make, create, and organize are very similar terms.

yes, He simply spoke it into existence. And no, it did not happen from the stretching of a virtual tensor in another plane.
