Many refuse, but the true believers (in any religion) will actually listen to other arguments to see if their religion still stacks up.

Of course people refuse to look at anothers religion. It's called blind faith. It's called "conceded theology". Allow me to offer an example:

I want you to believe in this imaginary man, and know that he is so very powerful that if you so much as to screw up, while then he'll have you cry burning in a firey pit for eternity..... but he Looooooves you. And, if you so believe that your wings are clipped, and you are a faltering foul aground never to soar high around here, then you can faulter all you wish so long as you say that you are sorry for the falter.

Because if you believe this, and live day in and day out without questioning me, then I shall promise you a wonderous life of eternal divinity. Now, if you'll just pass the coffer and place a few bucs in there we'll be on with it.

Sorry for the dryness, but may I continue??

The Irony of it all is this. The largest, most profoundly successful religion of all time will be the first to come crashing down. Built upon the two imperitive emotions utylized when performing harsher methods of "information gathering", Christianity is also based upon, "Fear" & "Guilt. Fear Hell. And Feel guilty because in all of your beauty you're a no good turd that can never get better so long as you live here on earth. Sorry folks, but I certainly DO NOT believe that my wings are clipped, and I most definately wouldnt issue myself such a self defeating mind-fluck of a belief.
(That's personal).

"The Chosen Ones" I believe the Christians have reffered to themselves as being in times. remember.....

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me."
- Christianity. Bible, John 14.6

But look here....

What do these poll numbers say for what todays Christians are "REALLY" believing but yet not strong enough to state it verbally outside a NewsWeek poll?

The Poll Asked:

Can a good person who isn't of your religious faith go to heaven or attain salvation, or not?

Evangelical Protestants 68% said YES
Non-Evangelical Protestants 83% said YES
Catholics 91% said YES
Non-Christians 73% said YES

Lastly, some of you folks that are tighter with Jesus and the Bible may find this disturbing...... but just as I briefed those intelligent folks back in 2003 I shall say it again..... "The Truth is Coming".

You don't have to talk in all caps.

I think that a person raised in religion right can look at someone else views. However, you understand there is a difference in looking and trying to force or ignore.

I don't believe differences in religion are a case of race. Not by a long shot. I am a cradle Catholic. I've had many wonderful conversations with people of other faiths.

When Blessed Teresa of Calcutta visited my city, all people of all faiths and races came to see her and listen to this tiny little woman speak. The stadium was filled and you could hear a pin drop as she spoke. The price of admission was a can of food.

While waiting for her arrival, we all, Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and whatever race.. sang and praised God... together. It was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen in my life and it still moves me to tears to remember it.

We are all looking for salvation. It's what most of us want. How we get there, is a matter of personal choice.

I was rasied in the Christian church, and even though I was raised in that, I still look at the way other people think and how they view things. I am still interested in seeing what other people's opinions are about something. I may not agree with everyone, but I respect what other people say and what they choose to follow.

Why are you shouting?

And no, I don't think so. I was raised in a Christian home, and yet wound up being atheist for most of my life (except for the nearly six years I was Wiccan), and I've studied several other religions. I know many people like me.

Yes everything you say is right but here this will be better

with age come's wisdom

a house is only as strong as it's foundation

so with this one who builds wisdom on one foundation will only rest on that one foundation or there world and works where for nothing in there mind they are comforted with the wisdom of there one and only foundation
