Just walk away, there is nothing you can do
You cannot shove God down someones throat, and God does not want this either

Hey, good question. There are always going to be people who try to stump you. And other people who really just want more evidence. It is our job to train and study as much as we can to effectively preach the Gospel at all times in confidence and with courage.
A great website and resource for evangelism and witnessing effectively that I use a lot is www.wayofthemaster.com.
Also, read your Bible front to back and study it. God will not fail you and will speak for you in many cases. He uses the weak and humble to dumbfound the proud and worldly....
And check out books by Lee Strobel, like Case for Christ, and Case for a Creator, and Case for Faith. He is an ex-athiest lawyer that tried to prove there was no God, Christ was a fake, and Christianity was wrong. Instead he proved the opposite.

Hope this give a little help.
Grace and Peace,Thomas

I dont think you necessarily have to respond per se. They have made up their mind for the moment, and what you will have to say they will not hear.

HOWEVER, are you familiar with the verse which states the bible is sharper than a 2 edged sword? And the verse which states to put on the full armor of God? And the verse which states we do not fight as humans fight, but we fight as a spirtual fight? (see: Hebrews 4:12, Ephesians 6, 2nd Corinth chapter 10:3-5)

The word says in John chapter 6 vs 43-45 that the people were mumbling and did not believe Jesus was the Messiah. Jesus' response was:

Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves. "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. "It is written in the prophets, `and they shall all be taught of God' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

So what is your response? Your response is to PRAY for that person, that God would call and draw that person to God so that they can and will be taught of God.

You pray the Word of God over them -- the Word is the way you fight for them - the Word is your sword- you use it by speaking it. Revelation 12:11.

Once again, Joyful Noise and Overcomer have wise words to say as well. I also agree with Ju Ju Evidence that demands a Verdict -- also a good one is The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel

You might want to tell them that you see the hand of God in all of nature. Point out the many things we have, the vast variety and differences that come as gifts from God. You could say that you have never personally say President Washington, Lincoln, etc. but you believe in them, they existed, what they stood tor. You have seen drawings of Washington and Lincoln, you have read about both of them The same can be done concerning God. The Bible and thousands of thousands of Christian books and articles contain a vast amount of information about God. More then you could ever find about Washington and Lincoln. Is a person willing to trust, believe things, about someone they never really saw but not about God? I have never been able to hold my own heart in my own hand to observe that it's real...but it is. In the form of Jesus, God did come to earth once. People saw, touched, heard Him but still He was rejected. Would it make much difference if He did the same thing today?

I am with Jonathan H. You must pray that God will reveal Himself to your friend in His own way and at the right time. The Holy Spirit can do what man can never do, in one second. And if this friend is looking, he will see God. God is more interested in your friends salvation than even you are. So it is His will to reveal Himself to your friend. No one can stop the will of God. Be the light to your friend. The Bible says that the unbeliever will know we are Christ-followers by our actions of love. We are the only Jesus some people will ever see. So keep praying and ask God for guidance, patience and stubborn love for your wayward friends.

It's a fair enough response.
Why is your pretend god invisible? Because it conceals the lie.
Why is your imaginary friend silent? Same answer.
Why does the man-made paranormal entity never interfere in the course of human lives? Same answer again.
Why does your all-powerful god NEVER restore missing limbs to amputees, despite all the well-meant and non-selfish prayers from the faithful? Because that god does not exist.
It is clear and obvious to those who are clear-thinkers, unaffected by childhood indoctrination.
Give us some REAL proof and then we will reconsider. You know full well that you cannot.
Until then, live your life of fantasy in your dreamworld while those of us with a brain accept reality

I would tell your friend that seeing God does not mean someone will automatically believe. The Jews in Jesus' day saw him and did not believe, as did the Pharisees. Judas was one of the 12 disciples and he did not believe.

What your friend may really want is proof that Jesus was raised from the dead. I would suggest reading the book "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel, or go to your local christian book store and find another book that deals with the proof of the Resurrection.

Ask them if they use the same standard for all things they believe. I am sure they believe in gravity but it can not be seen and even to this day it is still a mystery. We are not able to see quarks but we know they exist from the evidence that is present. The bottom line is that most of the things we believe can not be seen. It is incredible how God is held to a higher standard but it is understandable. Science and other beliefs do not hold us accountable for our actions.

Tell him that faith in its very essences requires believing without seeing.

It is said that the best of Christians are the ones who believe without seeing.

"...blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed" (John 20:29).

Besides, even if he did see a sign, there is still a huge chance he would continue to not believe.

"And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet" (Luke 11:29).

Jesus healed people by the dozens and yet the majority of them turned right around and crucified him.

Just smile and tell that person, "I am witness that God exists". If that person does not have faith, you show your faith.
Do not doubt when someone doubts.
Do not worry if you have no proof.
You are the living proof,
your faith is the best answer.
Stand up for Jesus, bare a testimony for Jesus.
I testify that Jesus is the living saviour,
I know it is true without a fraction of doubt.
I experienced Jesus in my life and he is real.

We need to believe and be born again to know and experience God. Our spirit is dead and separated from God until we confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and then the Holy Spirit comes and live inside our body and reveal Jesus Christ and God the Father to us. We therefore have to believe and be saved before we know. We cannot know God on our terms but on His terms.
