No, the Path train doesn't go to 40th Street, but if you're not carrying heavy luggage, or, if your luggage is on wheels, it's very walkable from 33rd Street.

No, the PATH doesn't go up that far. What you will need to do is take the PATH to 33rd Street station in Manhattan, then take the N/R/Q/W subway uptown 1 stop to Times Square. From there, go through the underground walkway from 7th to 8th Avenue and go up to arrive at Port Authority.

unfortunately no. PATH goes as far as Penn Station. You can either do one of the following.

1. pay $2 for the subway and take the 1, 2, or 3 one stop uptown to 42nd street and times square and walk one block to 8th avenue

2. get out at penn station and walk to 8th avenue and at 8th ave make a right and walk 8 blocks to 42nd street

3. take a cab
