I think what you meant is..Why as human beings do we blame? God for what happens to us here on earth, as your way dont make much sense, as we can do both, believe in a higher power and ourselves...but if its how i worded it, then probably becasue its painful to see, what We are doing, same way we have blamed our parents for our short comings, or our childhoods:) I have peace with it all:)

Because we're human. Because we have the ability to choose. Some people turn to religion in order to seek happiness, self-fulfillment, and a sense of purpose in life (and afterlife, if that's what the religion offers). Other people turn to religion as a scapecoat, a curtain to hide behind their crimes and misdeeds. They feel that their actions are justified in the name of their god, and that at least, their sentence will be reduced when apprehended, and that their god will forgive them if they repent for their sins.
Not everyone wants to run away from responsibility. Some take full responsibility of their actions, even if they are religious. In fact, take into example, Christianity (since it's the most popular mainstream religion these days it seems). The Lord commanded Moses to dictate his Ten Commandments, in which all Christians must obey. However, say a Christian man, a truly devout and loyal believer, one day covets his neighbor's Ferrari. He would take full responsibility of his actions, and pray to God for forgiveness. This is a principle that Christianity teaches, that one should take responsibility for their sins, confess, and pray for forgiveness. However, Christianity has been miscontrued time and again through time, that many believe that they don't have to, that since Jesus Christ is always forgiving, he'll automatically forgive them in a heartbeat.
So people believe in a higher power for various reasons, not just to run away from responsibility. But yes, some people do it to hide from humanly judgement (which is impossible), or to receive pity or mercy for their actions. But we mainly do it because of who we are. People are different, and so they will see religion differently. Unfortunately, as long as we're allowed to basically be human, this is the way it is going to be. Religion will forever continue to become muddled, confusing, contorted, twisted, and corrupted, no matter how good their intentions are. Humanity corrupts everything it touches, and that's why we have doomed ourselves from the start. It's the sad truth, and is the reason why the world is in such a pitiable state now. Religion was supposed to help mend the world's wounds. Instead, we found another way to make it worse upon ourselves.

I don't think it has to do with responsibility.
The concept of God mostly surrounds the need of guidance.
Most humans have a very hard time accepting authority. I know a lot of Anglo Americans who were raised by their parents with the thought of "you don't have to listen to anybody," and you know what happens? They end up bad-mouthing an officer later over a minor speeding ticket and end up worse off.
People who think they don't have a boss end up finding out that there IS authority, law in the land, which protects us obedient and submissive human beings from the arrogant, haughty ones who would do us harm without any remorse if we so much as look at them wrong or say something in a tone that they don't like.
No, "God" is about guidance. Oh, and protection for those who are humble.

I think that, that would be stupid to blame things that happen on earth on God. We are the ones who inhabit the earth and we are the ones who destroy and pollute it as well. It is only time that will show what we are doing to the land that we live off of. I consider myself as a religious person but that just sounds ridiculous to me. I don't think that people go around saying that God is to blame for murders and war and such things....
Maybe some people are just really ignorant!

I know where I come from.I know who my creator is.Without him I am nothing.I don't exixt. To some people Nature is some kind of force responsible for shaping our lives. Is it justified to say that Nature is so intelligent to create and shaping the entire universe or shaping life.I cannot find the logic and reason. So it it's this power(God) that we exist and take responsibility in all our action..

I do take care of what happens to me, and I answer to the people just like the rest of the world.
However, to Believe in God does not mean that you have a "Free Ticket" in life here on earth, God himself set rules up for us to follow

i don't think of that 'theory' is a 'selection' ... it 'purely happens' ... and in case you 'have confidence in God' or a greater suitable skill you have 'faith' ... and that's like seeing a 'extensive deep canyon wider than the Grand Canyon and shutting your eyes and taking a step and being on the different area ... the place once you 'turn around' the 'extensive canyon' is barely a 'line in the sand' ... so some human beings purely are unable to make 'that leap of religion.' provide them a injury ... they '% it' and so do you.

Belief in God doesn't mean you fold your hands and do nothing, dear. It means you know He is soverign over all things. It brings peace. It doesn't bring any lack of responsibility whatsoever.

Because it's so much fun for others to casually dismiss the concept of any consciousness higher then themselves as a convoluted scapegoat.
