As long as you don't redistribute, sell, give away or modify it, it's legal. It's just like recording off the TV.

It depends, if you play the music in websites that tells you that you must buy the music so you can hear it, yes it is illegal,.

From what I have encountered with my internet company (they watch our downloads) they don't care if you download copyrighted material that is legal but uploading/sharing copyrighted material is illegal. So for personal use you are fine.

ENOUGH SAID.....
They don't want you even listening at home in your cave in the dark, unless you've paid the cost to be the boss of the darn music they worked so hard at creating..........so remember if they raid your houses and they can't get anything else on you....pour acid on your computer before they get to it.........lol
