I just had a baby a few month ago and I also have a toddler and a 9 year old. After I had this last baby I noticed that my memory isn't as good as it used to be. I am struggling with lack of sleep and rest, but, even though I feel sleepy most of the day, I still think I should be able to remember the simple things. For example, I start talking on the phone and suddenly I forget what I was going to say. I forget names, phone numbers and such. I've never been this way. What can I do? Did somebody else have this problem? Maybe because of the kids, the sleepless nights??? Should I take medication? Any natural treatments I could try? HELP!

Memory loss can be tied to high stress.
It can also be tied to sleep loss.

You're not the only one.

Get out your pen and paper - a calendar and write down what you need to remember.

Learn to get some time out in the fresh air - maybe just a walk around the block each day, and a nap when you need it, and atleast a 1/2 hr. each day just for yourself (reading or writing, or simply starring out the window)

Get some rest! Can your husband take care of 100% of parenting duties for say, a weekend, while you go get some sleep? Are there some grandparents who could come to your rescue for a little while? I've never had kids, but I have been in situations where I was working two jobs during the week and overtime on Saturdays, and these symptoms sound kind of familiar. Make sure "daddy" takes his share of the burden, including the 2 a.m. feedings.

I have the same problem it's all due to lack of sleep. When I get a good night rest I dont have these issues. You need to work somthing out and figure out how to get some sleep. Remember lack of sleep you are putting your self in danger and others when you drive. You can damage your body over time by pushing your self hard with lost sleep.

hepatitis c? no, no meds, get tested first for hcv. no natural ones either because it could be something serious like hcv.

hcv is a liver disease. everyone has one risk factor, yet many different sets of symptoms.

i'd ask the doctor about it. if you've ever been to the dentist, ever gotten your ears peirced, shared a razor, toothbrush or drugs you could have hcv. if none of these is a yes, you could still be infected.

memory loss is a sure fire symptom. most symptoms take up to 10 years to show face.

sleepless nights are another symptom.

get tested! good luck!
