Hey girly,
I know how it is. There are many things it can come from. Abuse, depression, big changes, or death. Or even just feeling like crap. It's hard to stop and I still get urges sometimes but the thing that helped me the most is having a best friend there when I just needed to talk. But you can't just have someone your age you need like a mentor or something just to make sure you don't need more help then just that. Do NOT listen to the person who said it is for attention because even if it is you still are hurting yourself and still need help.
To be honest the thing that helped me a lot more than even friend is God. Even if you don't believe right now just try to talk to him at some point because no matter if there was no one else on the world he still would have sent his son to die for you on the cross to forgive your sins because he LOVES you! I just think it is the most amazing thing in the world no matter what I have done he still loves me and I can say anything to him and he won't judge me or tell my secrets. Just trust me and try it.
I hope everything works out for you and you can contact me anytime to talk. Because I went through it for years and just got over it recently. I hope I helped even a little.

How/why did you start cutting? Did something set it off, or did it seem the only way to find relief from something that had been building inside you?
You still have urges - do you still cut?
When you think about something bad happening, how does it play out in your mind? What do you mean by "something bad"?
Who knows about how you feel - anyone besides strangers on a website that can't do anything but sit by helplessly and wonder if you're okay?
You can't make yourself better, and God knows I can't make you better. It's imperative that you talk to SOMEONE - even if it's just calling 1-800-SUICIDE.
Hoping that something bad will happen and setting things into motion to make sure something bad happens are two different things. Please - if you find yourself thinking through a plan to hurt yourself or worse, especially if you realize you intend to act on it, don't mess around. This is not a game you're playing, it's not a TV show you can pause or rewind. This is real, and the consequences are permanent.
I'm glad you vented online, that you had the courage to reach out. Now take another step - tell someone in 3D about it. Call 911, call a hospital, call a crisis center. The longer you hide this inside the more power you give it. Take action while you're still in control.

I have been there. Well I still am there with the whole SH and intentional danger thing. Keep yourself safe. If anyone tells you to DONT call a suicide hotline. They will just call the cops on you, they are a bunch of misguided, albeit well intentioned, group of 'humanitarians.'
Try and find some friends to talk to. Don't mention the cutting.
Also, try something less destructive. Pot for example.
Good luck, and I was actually serious about the pot. Im stoned right now it helps you feel more out of the pain.

you need to talk to a therapist or call a hotline when you need to cut, I actually have a myspace group that deals with that kind of thing, if you would like to talk on it and also there are some numbers on there you can try. I cut also but havent done it since feb. its hard to stop but it is possible...

See suicidal thoughts, depression, and self harm, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on pages 5, 2, and 4. Contact someone about this: there are many to choose from on those webpages, and seek therapy, ASAP.

This isn't a question, and I'm not gonna lecture you. It sounds more like a cry for attention, if you wanna cut yourself no ones stopping you. Don't try to get my sympathy, however.
