I would try looking him up on some sort of people pages first to see if you can find his e-mail address or phone number. Dropping by seems a little stalker-ish. I might send him a short note with your e-mail address and/or phone number. In the note, as if he's with anyone, and if so, you hope the note didn't get him into any trouble. Include a short story about what's going on with you and that you were just hoping to have a chat with him as friends. As a wife, if I were to see myself acknowledged by an ex-girlfriend would put me a bit more at ease.

Just a little "hello" note will do. Just indicate that you were just contacting people that you were friends with years ago to see how they were doing. Then just ask questions like "What are you doing with your life? Did you ever get married? Do you have any children?" Tell him that you were thinking about trying to get some of the old friends together for a reunion of sorts. That way if he has a wife or girlfriend, she will not be angry.

yes i think so.
It might not be such a shock then.
Dont you have directory assistance where you can get their number if you have the address?
Maybe they dont do that anymore.
If you cant get his number then mail yours, because your right, you never know he could be married and you are being curteous.

Well Babey, I think that what you're thinking is right. if he is married or in a relationship, it's going to make him/her very uncomfortable for their husband/boyfriend to receive something from their ex. I think it's just best to find some other means to get in contact with him. Good luck.

I definitely wouldn't go there.. just send him a note, saying hi... something a new girlfriend wouldn't feel threatened by... women are jealous enough, without having a reason to be... no need to give her ammunition to use against him...
