A tattoo is going to hurt no matter what, but if you have more meat it wont hurt as much as if you were skin and bones. The more meat on your bones the less it will hurt. However it also depends on your tolerance level for pain. If you can take pain, you'll be fine, if you are very bad with pain, then be prepared. Good Luck I hope it all works out for you.

I'd say the more meat, the less it hurts. The most painful part of getting a tattoo is when it's right up against a bone.

the most painful places to get tattoos are the places that are the most sensitive, I got mine wrapped around my ankle, pure agony, I was told the ankle, the ribs, the underside of the upper arm, and the inner thigh are the most painful places because of the bone and nerves, my girlfriend got one on her shoulder and barely winced, I think you will be fine. They all hurt because they are sticking a rapidly moving needle in your flesh depositing ink, I would start with a simple design without too much detail foryour first one. Cheers

i heard it is better to have a little meat on your bones.....

when you get a tattoo near a bone it hurts more...

but i wouldn't say that tattoos really hurt.....it is more of an annoying feeling.....

Getting a tattoo pretty much hurts in general, but I will say this, it is usually more painful on thin skin, like the top of your foot, collar bone, toes, hips, wrists etc.. Hurts least on shoulder blades, top of hand, arms, legs (back of calves) lower back...butt, places like that...

Hope it helps!

Every1 is different so that is a factor but me on my lower back and I actually got sleepy got tired of waiting!! I have meat on my bones 2 but not excessive. I can describe how it feels Like that part of the body is asleep(like when your foot falls asleep) while tiny little pokes of a needle. good luck

It hurts anywhere you get it because your nerves are just below your skin, it has nothing to do with muscle (although you do have more nerves in your bones than in your skin).
