I live in WA and am trying to find homeowners insurance that does not have breed restrictions. Anyone help!!! Dont let this puppy go back to the pound!

Sorry, but most companies will not insure a home with a pit bull. There is one decent company that I know about and that's Foremost insurance. They will write your home with a dog exclusion. However, the rates are probably twice what you can get through other companies.

Nobody offers a policy with liabiltiy coverage, with no breed restrictions.

Foremost insurance, www.foremost.com offers a policy with a DOG EXCLUSION. They cost maybe twice as much as the average homeowners policy, but hey, it keeps your pup out of the pound.

You've just discovered the pitfall of owning a pitbull (no pun intended). Pit bulls have developed a reputation of being very destructive when they DO decide to bite someone. Their powerful jaw structure makes them lethal killers.

Any dog can bite when sufficiently provoked. No insurer wants the damage liability which can and does occur when a pit bull decides to use its powerful jaws.
