Different things work for different people - but hypnotism did nothing for me in regards to smoking.
Zyban is helpful for a lot of people - it should also help your mood, because the exact same formula is marketed as Wellbutrin, an antidepressant.
I knew a woman who worked for GlaxoSmithKline, the manufacturer of Zyban/Wellbutrin, and they called it the quit smoking-feel good-no headache-get skinny pill.

Hi:
Well everyone is different and respond in different ways. I will say that I tried hypnotherapy and I am sorry to say that it did not work for me. BUT, my ex husband tried hypnotherapy and he had positive results and he has not picked up a cigarette since then and that was 16 years ago and still he has no desire to go back to smoking.
I say personally in my opinion, TRY IT, you just never know. The worst that can happen is that it doesn't work and you can move on to try something else. But at least you did try the hypnotherapy.
I do hope you give it a shot, there is no harm done at all to go. Worst case is you walk out the same way you walked in. No better, but certainly no worse.
I wish you well and thank you for sharing you courage with me.
Be safe and be well

It could if you aren't a skeptic to it.
I quit smoking on May 20th.. went on the patch...for just 2.5wks, was going to step down early cos at that point was making me ill and hated the vivid dreams. Instead, I just quit.. and have been doing great.
considering I smoked since 17 and now 32yrs and have only stopped briefly while pg w/each of my 3 kids. and stopped smoking in house.
good luck...
personally, I like the gum when I get an urge now.. and ciggy smoke is now nasty to me..
this is my 2nd time, so I'm hoping I have will pwr to not start up again.

Yes, if you want it to and believe that it will, it most likely will. (And no side effects like medications have.) By the way, most psych therapies (including medication) work best when the client want it to work and believes that it will work. The magic is in you!
