I am 14. I am a dancer and I also cheer. I am 5'3" and weigh 128 pounds. I would like to lose some weight and get toned, fairly quickly. Any suggestions on how much i need to lose and the best ways to do it? specific workout and diet schedules? anything would be much appreciated! thanks!

there is no specific one ideal weight for everybody and dont look at the scale - it doesnt tell you how much muscle and how much body fat percentage you have - which is what is really important.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and that's how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Its not how much you weight, but how you look and your health.......

There is a few ways to lose fat and fast (THEY WORK):

1.You stop eating carbs and eat anything that is protein, Check out the Atkins diet. IF YOU ONLY EAT PROTEIN MAKE SURE YOU TAKE VITAMINS

2. While doing number 1, do an hour of cardio 5 times a week.

3. Build some extra muscle, muscle feeds off your food and dose not let your body store it as fat. This way you burn more fat when doing cardio. MAKES YOU LOOK GOOD AND AT THE END YOU ARE NOT WEAK.

4. You can think about taking fat burners with the above 3 tips, you can get them in any health/fitness store.


IF YOU FOLLOW THE ABOVE without CHEATING IN 6 WEEKS YOU WILL SEE A MASSIVE CHANGE. You will see weight loss in 2 to 3 weeks on your scales if you dont put on muscle.

To tell you the truth you are just fine the way you are but if it about cheer girl I hear you. I truely suggest start running a mile and then some distance and everyday eat little sections of food. Try to dance and drink water it will help you. oh.. almost forgot try to lift some weight for your legs and arms.( it will tone your muscles and you will look great!)
