Dry mouth. SSRIs (Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, Lexapro, Zoloft) can cause decrease in libido with inability to orgasm. Wellbutrin and Effexor don't have that side effect nearly as often as they effect, not only serotonin level, but also dopamine and norepinephrine. Other side effects are very individualized - some people become more nervous or anxious while others get slightly sleepy (take at night if this happens), some people gain a little weight, others lose a little weight. There are some serious side effects of coming off some of these antidepressants too quickly so talk to your doctor first.

First, different meds cause different side effects in different people. But the ones I've seen the most of are anxiety, hypomania, feeling "unreal", weight gain -- and sex? Fuggetaboutit.

I've also dealt with swelling, rashes, lactation (now THAT's a fun one, NOT), increase in suicidal ideation, personality change, quick temper, hot flashes, OMG the list goes on.

Right now I'm on Wellbutrin XL. It's weight-neutral, in fact I've lost some weight since going on it, and doesn't repress the libido. It caused in me slight anxiety 5 hours after taking it for a couple weeks, but once it reached a therapeutic level that went away and I've been stable for almost 2 years - out of this world fantastic, considering that I couldn't stay out of the psych ward for more than 5 months before that.

Dry mouth.
Some dizziness the first few days.
Really depends on the anti-depressant.
