can you tell me wher on the net I can read it or read asummary of it to see what is in there that the writer should die?

Any criticism of the prophet Mohammed is seen is very offensive to Muslims, and this is why Rushdie received the fatwa.
I finished one of his other books a few days ago, so was checking out the reviews on Satanic Verses on Amazon (link below).
The feeling among reviewers seemed to be that Muslims (rather than non-Muslims) would find it easier to understand why the book was deemed so offensive - apparently some of the 'heresy' is quite subtle.

I read it when it first was published. I don't think it deserved a fatwa against the author, even though it was quite boring.
