STOP! Bread, my goodness, they demonized bread (including rolls, buns, etc)...how did this happen? Basically, another fad diet attacked bread because of "carbs." FAD DIET! People ate breads for tens of thousands of years as a staple food of their diet. Well along comes another diet guru who writes a book, and suddenly everyone jumps on board the anti bread train. Look, don't be a lemming. Think for yourself. Eat more veggies, cut down on the sweets and fats, and exercise more. Oh yes, the exercise more (or at all) part actually requires physical effort. Isn't that what we tend to try and avoid? So we hear about this new fad diet that says if you just stop eating so much bread that you'll (magically) lose weight. Well, it is a load of pooh! It is yet another fad diet. Remember the other ones: drink gallons of water, eat only meat, stop eating meat, eat only dairy, stop eating dairy, and so on and so forth. There are people out there guzzling green tea because they think it will make them lose weight. Well isn't that how they originally marketed diet pop? People drink the stuff by the bucketfuls and because they don't make some physical effort, they will never lose the weight. Same with most diet pills. People pop them and continue their regular lives, and then they wonder why they can't lose weight. They'll blame the diet, the pills, but not themselves. Stick to the basics: eat more veggies, cut down on sweets and fats, exercise (even if it is only walking more), and you will lose weight and feel better. That is the truth. So, go eat a slice of bread because it is fine to do so. And cheese.

Depends on the bread, white bread, not so good, something thats whole grain is a lot better and probably won't hurt the cause as much. It's easier to stick to a diet if you're allowed to slip up every once in a while.
