I shaved my head again because it's hot, and it is more convenient for me to be bald since I swim and work as a lifeguard. I also shaved my chest, which is reaaly hairy.
I try to get my mom to understand that a shaved head is better for me, but she still sees me as a little boy. By the way, I am almost 17 and gong to be a junior in high school.
Any advice would be appreciated. By the way, I like my head shaved, and don't want to grow it back just yet.

My mom likes long hair on guys because that is how guys wore their hair when she was in high school. She is stuck in the 70's.

As a swimmer and former lifeguard, I can understand your appeal to the cooler, less warm, hairstyle. It makes you more aero-dynamic, giving you a potential advantage if you had to swim to reach someone. Calm your mom off with the fact that it is only hair, that it will grow back, and that it makes you feel more comfortable. In the end of the day, that is what matters most to her.

Sorry I accept as true with your mom. If the hair is gentle and effective, permit or no longer this is. even no rely if it is not, wait til the summer once you are able to desire to have bare legs. as quickly as you start up shaving your legs, you are able to by no ability provide up. i'm in my 40s and this is definitely a soreness interior the butt. I remember begging my mom to be waiting to shave them too - wait as long as you a threat can. you do no longer pick to be bushy yet once you are able to placed it off, you would be satisfied you probably did. believe me, you would be shaving lots in a while, you will no longer have neglected a year or 2 inthe beginning :)

Keep what you want! My mother was at first very disturbed when I wanted really short hair and she tried to fill my head with doubts of it not looking right and I ended up loving the trim! Up until I was mistaked for a man! Twice!

I am letting it grow out now! But you should keep whatever you like,(not to sound mean but) your mom should get over it. I would keep it up if I were you. Good luck! :D

So you're 17, still in school, and have a job, right? Mom should be counting her blessings! I'm sure have beautiful hair and that's probably why she gets so frustrated. But hey, it'll grow back whenever you decide to let it, so no harm no foul.

Get her some flowers, thank her for dinner, and tell her she looks pretty... do or say something sweet to her every day. Mom's are less afraid of their baby boys growing up when they realize they'll always be number one in your heart!

get a really ugly cheap (free?) wig and wear it around the house and tell her you are sorry and you will always wear the wig since she doesn't like your shaved look. ask her to forgive you and would she like you to wear another wig. she will throw up her hands and forget about it. but why do you do that to your mama son? why would you hurt her like that? you have no idea how much she has gonethrough that she would never, never tell you. you need to talk to someone. someone that is bigger than people. you know what i mean. you done her wrong boy! time for making some amends. she might just give up on you if you keep doing this to her. what is the matter do those classmates mean more than your mama!

well your parents are just giong to have to assept your decision .
i mean you cant just glue your hair back!
like seriously .
ok and i congratulate you on your chest being hair free.
and i mean your a life guard and dont want kids to think your chubacca or something. imean this in a good way i promise.
[ tell your parents that theyll laugh.] (and turn their frowns right upside down. ; ] )
so they will just have to live with your baldness for a while.

[i had the same problem in a way i was gonna get a mohalwk but they said i shouldnt because im a girl . ]

hope i helped : ]

Did you ask her why she doesn't like your head shaved? Your a guy it will grow back to the lengh you want in weeks so I am not sure why she is bothered by it. Talk to her and see if you can meet in the middle such as a military haircut?

you are almost 18. yYur mom has every right to say what goes on & off your head. on the other hand, your hair will grow back so everything will be fine. Once you are old enough to decide for yourself than you can.

wear a wig when you see her :P just kidding!
i know how moms are, they get mad all the time, but its u that decides what styles u want to wear, afterall. try explaining it to her and try asking her why she hates it when you shave your head, im really curious!

Explain to her that hair always grows back and it doesnt make sense for you to not be bald because of your above reasons...why is she upset about it!?
