Since you are only 1/4 of the way through high school, you still have time to fix a lot. It is hard to know exactly what you can do without knowing how many classes you take each year, but the grades get averaged, so assuming all of your grades from now on are perfect, your current grades will get swamped in more and more grades until they don't have much of an impact.

GPA is cumulative, meaning that your grades for all four years of high school will be combined. Getting to a 4.0 is nearly impossible UNLESS your school has weighted grades for AP classes.

That being said, I encourage you to work really hard because you CAN still significantly improve your GPA. As you continue through high school, each grade will count as a smaller percentage of your overall GPA. You're only 25% of the way through your high school career, so you still have lots of time to gain ground.

Good luck to you!

You will have to work extremely hard at it. If you want it bad enough, you can manage it. Good Luck.
