i had a career day at school where a bunch of people with careers came and set up stands at my school during lunch, and one of the stands was a modeling and acting agency. the lady came up and asked me and my friend if we were interested in modeling or acting and we said sure and she gave us these slips of paper to write our names and numbers and what we were interested in.

i recently got a call from a lady at the agency asking if i was still interested and i said yes. she told my mom to call her at a number. i told my mom later, and she thought it might be fake.

could this agency be fake and a scam? (even though they came to our school and everything)

If they ask for money then it is a scam. No matter how great it sounds, do not give them money!!!

I have done career day at schools, and they don't check the person out before they come in.

Wait and see if they ask for cash. If the modeling agency asks for money, it is a scam.

Be honest with yourself. Do you think you are good looking enough for someone to seriously consider you for modeling? Ask yourself that and you will know the answer immediately.

Listen to their pitch. Check out their name with the better business bureau. Ask them for references. Ask them who they have been successful with in placing in paying jobs. Ask them what are their fees for their services. Ask them for their background, training, credentials.
